Patients with peripheral arterial disease (P.A.D.) and especially those who have had angioplasty or stents placed need lifetime monitoring of their cardiovascular health. Complying with this regimen is too burdensome for many patients. The consequences for unmonitored patients can be catastrophic.
Vascular disease is a silent killer. A patient often experiences no symptoms until surgery or even amputation are required. In some cases, a patient can even die without first experiencing symptoms.
Imagine if it were possible to monitor patients with PAD and those undergoing vascular procedures with a smart phone app? What if you could check your own stent with your phone and keep the doctor up to date on your progress all with your phone from home?
mPulse is just such a monitoring solution. Combining a patented, non-invasive measuring technique with a mobile application and cloud computing, Harbor Vascular has built a system to help doctors monitor the vascular health of their stent patients. With mPulse, we can help doctors save lives and limbs.
